Favorites is missing in Outlook 2010 navigation pane

Favorites folder is missing in Outlook? Try this:

Start -> Run; "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14\outlook.exe" /resetnavpane

What it does:

/resetnavpane

Clears and regenerates the Navigation Pane for the current profile. Removes all Shortcuts and Favorite Folders. Has the same effect as deleting profilename.xml in your user directory.

Vista Home Network Location Defaults to Private Upon Reboot

Can't connect to Internet even though you have a signal and everyone else is connecting fine.

After doing the whole scanning for critters, updates and installing a new Anti-Virus that wasn't expired I was still stumped. After rebooting the Vista Network Location would default right back to public, which only gave me local access. So my next step was to un-install the wifi drivers and re-install. Worked beautifully and now the default it private and they can access the Internet.

You may need to also reset all the security settings to their default values. I did this afterwards just to be sure I knocked it all out.

Also, You will want to make sure you have no malware or viruses and everything is up to date if you have not already done so.

Remote Desktop won't redirect printers

I recently setup a 2008 R2 Server with TS licensing and found that everyones printers were picked up by the easy share printer and redirect except for this one XP machine. I checked all settings and they were all correct, obviously as no one else had this issue and made sure the printer was working properly on the other end with the most recent updated drivers, all was good.
I then found I had to install the .net 3.5 framework and viola it worked. Picked up all the printers and was printing happly like all the other good little printer.
